Meet the Teacher
A little bit about Mrs. Loch...
I grew up in Doylestown, PA and attended the University of Virginia where I earned both my bachelors of science and masters of teaching. After graduating, I lived and worked on the Chesapeake Bay at Echo Hill Outdoor School. I continued to pursue my interest in science and nature during a six month hike of the Appalachian Trail. Upon completion of my hike, I moved to Seattle where I worked for the Pacific Science Center with the Science on Wheels program. I enjoyed getting students excited about a variety of science topics across the state of Washington. After working at the museum for three years I started formal teaching career, teaching Biology at Shorecrest High School in Shoreline, WA. While I miss Seattle, I'm happy to have moved back closer to family and lucky to have joined the Upper Dublin community 6 years ago. I am currently teaching Environmental science at UDHS.
I have two daughters, Amelia and Veronica, and a son, Micah. They keep me busy on the weekends, but I also try to squeeze in running, hiking, and reading when I have free time.
